WHO IS THE DRAKE GIVES?
The Drake Gives is dedicated to ensuring that all children, irrespective of their socioeconomic status, have access to music education. The Founder of The Drake in Laguna and The Drake Gives, Alec Glasser, learned to play the saxophone in a public school when he was 12. That experience profoundly shaped his life in ways he never dreamed possible - his wish is for all kids to be able to have the same opportunity in their public school education.

UCI’s School of Social Ecology to create two pioneering programs:
THE CENTER FOR THE POWER OF MUSIC AND SOCIAL CHANGE
A novel approach to understanding and leveraging music’s transformational role in society by establishing tangible programs and partnerships that enrich lives and strengthen communities creating an impact for generations to come.

UCI MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP
Now in its second year, this annual scholarship provides $10,000 each to 10 UC Irvine students who aspire to integrate music into their future careers in fields like medicine, social services, marketing, and sports.
